A Personal Journey: From Uncertainty to Impact

When It Felt Impossible

I didn’t always have it figured out. In fact, I may have reconsidered my entire career when I didn’t pass the Praxis test—not once, but twice. Those moments of frustration and self-doubt were defining. I wondered if this was truly the path for me. But instead of giving up, I leaned in, and now, looking back, I’m grateful for every setback—they shaped the leader I am today.

Finding Purpose in Uncertainty

If you’re here, maybe you’re standing at your own crossroads—unsure, overwhelmed, or wondering if the effort is worth it. Trust me, I’ve been there. What I didn’t realize back then was that those moments of uncertainty were building a foundation for something much bigger than I could have imagined.

How It All Started: FutureSLPs.com

Straight out of grad school, I created FutureSLPs.com, a platform for aspiring speech-language pathologists. It started as a space to share resources, encourage others, and make their journeys easier. What began as a small idea grew into a thriving community of like-minded professionals.

Creating Inclusive Opportunities in Gymnastics

As a former gymnast, I knew how transformative sports could be. I launched inclusive gymnastics programs, ensuring children with disabilities could experience the joy and benefits of gymnastics. I trained coaches nationwide, empowering them to provide inclusive classes. Some of the resources I developed are still used today by USA Gymnastics.

Transforming Literacy Through Everyday Activities

I noticed so many children struggling with reading—disengaged and disconnected. So, I wrote Our Reading Literacy Kitchen, a book that empowers families to make literacy fun and accessible through everyday activities. It’s about blending learning with life, so neither kids nor parents feel overwhelmed.

Discovering Aphantasia: A New Perspective

During my journey, I discovered I have Aphantasia, the inability to visualize mental images. This revelation reshaped how I think about learning and problem-solving and further fueled my passion for creating accessible, inclusive solutions for everyone.

Expanding Innovation in Healthcare

In 2018, I joined one of the first AI-powered speech therapy platforms, helping expand its reach in the U.S. By 2021, I launched The Resource Key to align my vision with action, focusing on inclusion and accessibility in healthcare, education, and beyond.
